Justin Bieber's "As Long As You Love Me" made it out as #8 on the iTunes top 10 chart this week. Bieber is a Canadian singer and songwriter discovered in 2008. He was discovered through his videos on YouTube by Scooter Braun. Bieber's newest album is called Believe, and he's been working on this album for the past year. Another hit from his album Believe is "Boyfriend" which is one of my favorite songs by Bieber. Boyfriend was the second highest debut sold song within a week in history. In nearly a week, over 57,000 copies of Believe were sold in Canada, versus 115,000 copies sold in the U.S. 

"As Long As You Love Me" had always struck to me as an annoying song. I've never been a huge fan of Justin Bieber, and not because of the usual given reasons. Usual given reasons being his girlish voice, always sings about love, and his being Canadian. I'm not sure why any of that matters, but it does not affect my opinion on the few songs I enjoy from him. I like "As Long As You Love Me" because of the meaning of the song. I watched the official music video to get the true meaning, and I kind of like the song. The song is very easy to relate to.

Fun.

Fun.'s number one hit this week, "Some Nights," made the top 5 chart on iTunes. Fun. is a fairly new band in the music business, since 2008. The band is made up for lead singer Nate Ruess, Andrew Dost, and Jack Antonoff. Fun. is an Indie Rock band, and originated from New York City. Each of the band members were members of separate bands before joining together, so each has had a musical experience. Since 2009, Fun. has released two albums, "Aim and Ignite" in 2009, and "Some Nights" in February of 2012. The bands number one hits within the past year are "We Are Young" and "Some Nights". Some Nights is currently number 4 on the iTunes top 5 chart.

Fun.'s two albums "Aim and Ignite" and "Some Nights" have become popular in the UK over recent years. So far the album "Some Nights" has reached number 3 on the Hot 100 charts. In 2012, both "Some Nights" and "We Are Young" were nominated and won the Teen Choice awards for best songs. From 2008 to present, Fun. has come a long way. Personally I love their song We Are Young, eventually I'll enjoy Some Nights, but as for now it needs to grow on me. Other than the two hit songs, I don't know any of the band's other songs. We Are Young is my absolute favorite.

Cher Lloyd's "Want U Back" made #4 on the iTunes top 10 chart this week. Lloyd is an English recording artists, and started her career back in 2010. She made her way to fame through the television show 'The X-Factor', and eventually was signed by Simon Cowell to Sony Music. As she started her music career she was most popular in the UK as well as Ireland. In 2011, she released her second album "With Ur Love" featuring Mike Posner, which brought her back up to #4 on the charts in Europe. By 2012 Lloyd had released her third single "Want U Back" which was a huge hit in the U.S. She sold over 1 million copies and received a Platinum status. 

Cher was able to debut her song on America's Got Talent on the 25th of July. Performing on AGT was the first live performance that Lloyd had done throughout her career, besides The X-Factor. Want U Back has become a worldwide phenomena and has achieved the certified Gold in the U.S.
