Social Entrepreneurship
So you're probably asking yourself, what is social entrepreneurship? Well it's a person who takes care of social problems by identifying and solving them. Social Entrepreneurs take control of opportunities that other people miss, and make the situation into something better. They invent ways to make our society a better place. In today's society we have many social entrepreneurs, such as Wendy Kopp.
Wendy Kopp has created a program called "Teach for America". This particular program provides college senior graduates with the chance to perform in a school for five weeks that may not be in the best condition. This has helped over 33,000 teachers in the U.S. and provided an education for 3 million students in 34 states. Kopp is now trying to expand "Teach for America" in 22 different countries.

Another example of social entrepreneurship in our society today is J.B Schramm. J.B created a program that allows students entering their senior year of high school to enhance their grades, and better prepare themselves for college. They are able to spend a few weeks in the summer before their senior year of high school, at a college and take classes that may prepare them for applying to colleges, and other classes. The program allowed students to get a feel for college life, and reconsider going to college. Most of the students entering the program are students from low income families, students with high grades, or students with low grades, all options have no interest in college.
