I decided to break the traditional top chart music on iTunes week deal with a flashback from the past kind of song. From what I remember "Love Story" was a number one hit back when we were all in 8th grade. According to the charts "Love Story" was the second best selling country song on the top 100 billboard. The song debuted in September of 2008. There have been many remixes of the song since then, personally I know Dave Days of YouTube had made a remix. Many of the songs from Taylor Swift's album "Fearless" were made out to be songs that teens could relate to. Swift put the songs out in public as a diary for everyone to read and relate to. Since then she has certainly kept the trend, but her music has become more about break ups and a lot more pop than country. Taylor Swift started out as an acoustic country singer, but has since then become a hipster break up style pop singer.
Personally, I miss the old Taylor Swift music, and her newer music is awful. The last Taylor Swift song I bought on iTunes was from her album Speak Now. Since then I haven't had any interest in her newer music. "Never Ever Getting Back Together," common really, that song is so annoying and it's not Taylor Swift. I don't know where that edge came from, and how she became this "pop artist". She was much better with country style in my opinion, and she did a lot better through sales and such. "Love Story" is one of the many old songs of Taylor Swift that were actually good. The song was like a fairytale that every girl wished to live through, and the music video described it very well!
